Venue: Tmj
Rig: Floater
Baits: 300gm of live prawns
Weather: 7am Drizzling, 8am Cloudy, 12pm Sunny, 3pm Windy, 3.30pm Thunderstorm

Have been a Zero Fighter for a few trips liao. Went Boatfishing ZERO, Went East Coast ZERO.
Decided to give Tmj a try today. Reach the pond at ard 8am.

Was told that they have change their rates. No longer 7 hr slot.
Now is either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am $35. Hmm seem not bad ar..

Views of TMJ

Anyway setup my tackle and started fishing at ard 8.15am.
Was having my breakfast halfway when I saw my float moving.
Give a STRIKE but nothing..Sigh
First Miss of the day.

Soon 1/2 hour have passed but I dun have any bite. Anglers ard me started landing fishes but not me...

Was getting abit sian when I saw my rod tip moved! Search for my float but it not found.
Immediately reel back the slack line and give a hard STRIKE!

Fish ON! Wooohoooo...finally...

The fight is strong and it keep taking up line. After 3-5 mins, it was landed.
Estimate 1kg MJ.

After landing my first fish, it was another long wait.
I got one neighbour keep landing fish after fish. He use float, I use float, he use live prawns, I use live prawns.

Wonder why I am not the one...

Anyway ard 12pm, I went to the front and cast near the pond. That when I got my 2nd MJ.
Again, it was a nice strong fight. Estimate ard 1 kg.

30 mins later, as I was slowly reeling in my rig. I found something heavy on the other end.
First thought was Sangkot..

But it was actually a 1.8kg Taiwan Ngor. I nv knew Taiwan Ngor can be such a GOOD fighter.
It gave me a super good workout pulling out my line like a non-stoppage train.

At one point of time, it actually was dashing towards the pump. Lucky I was able to stop it and drag it away from the pump.

1.8kg Taiwan Ngor Aka Good Fighter

All actions end at 12.45pm for me. I dun have even a SINGLE bite until 7pm.
Abit disappointed but I should be contended. At least I broke my dry spell. Haha

Sigh.

Anyway Joel manage to land 2 Smallies.

For the first fish, It was really a thrilling exp.

Joel was reeling up his fish, when it got sangkot in the rocks near to the water.
Well after some hesitation to went down due to the slippery rocks, we still proceed down.
Manage to make my way down and saw the fish stuck in the rocks.

There no way i can pull it up or get it out using a plier.

Fish mouth facing upwards

After i poke it down with a fishing rod, it went deeper down into the rocks!

The Final Moment

Venue: Tmj
Time: 9 plus to 3 plus
Baits: 100gm of Live Prawns
Rig: Floater
Weather: Sunny and Windy
Date: 2/2/2009(Mon)
Took 'Urgent' leave and went to TMJ for some fishing.
It been a long time I went fishing alone. Took a cab and NB the cab driver dunno the way.
End up taxi fare near to 18 bucks!!
Anyway reach the pond, setup my tackle and went to the centre pump (socalled hot spot)
Waited for near to 45 mins, when I saw my float dip and came up again.
Needless to say, the fish has escape.
Rebait and wait again.....Bite rate was super low..except for one guy.
The guy in red easily got 20 over fishes.
Well my 2nd bite came after 2 hr of waiting after my 1st bite.
I saw my float dip and sank into the water..
Heart pumping, grap my rod and slowly reel...
Suddenly my float came up again...LOST THE FISH AGAIN!!!!
Super demoralise...It was ard 1pm already..I still zero fighter.
Other anglers are also zero fighter..but dunno why the guy in red keep landing fishes.
Cont my waiting game..My float floating ard without dipping at all...

Very soon, it 3pm already.. I decided to go home once I finished my 100gm of prawns.
Rebait my very last prawn and cast it to my 'high risk high return' spot.
My stuff are all packed up already. In my mind, I have gave up.
Walked back to my rod..pick my rod up and suddenly I feel a tug!
Reel back slowly, den give a strong strike.
The KBL jump up beautifully high up into the air!
Have a quick fight with it before i landed it
Estimated ard 1 kg.
Released it immediately into the lake.

Was thinking of cont cos i got 2-3 hours more. But since i already packed up all my stuff, I went home....
