Planned to try out PRPP but last min decided to head down to Ah Tiong's Pond.
We had a hard time locating this pond as it was pretty inaccessible. Took us abt 1/2 an hour before we finally found Ah Tiong's Pond.
Ah Tiong's Pond
This pond is pretty big. Water quality seems good and staffs are very helpful. Only bad thing is that the insects and mozzies there are pretty fierce.
Proceed to setup at a quiet corner. Got a take within 1/2 an hour! But it was lost within secs as I never set the hook properly. Sigh.
Proceed to our 2nd spot which was recommended by one of the staff there. It took me one hour before I finally broke my egg at ard 11pm plus.
Saw my line moving and the next moment my rod gave a sharp bend. Set the hook twice this time round to be sure I dun lose another fish. It gave a few powerful runs for the net but I managed to pump it out.
Took me ard 1 min before it was landed.
Est 800 grams Ang Kuey
Pond was pretty quiet until 1am when it was time for fish release.
Qw managed to land a Mangrove Jack during this period breaking his egg too. It was est ard 900 grams.
As both of us need to wake up early the next day, we left before our time was up.
